Some of you may remember !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Well today my boss told me that I absolutely can’t shoot any more weird classics until I shoot a new car. An SUV; something that people can actually buy from a showroom. So I booked a shoot with a brand new (and reasonably priced) Terradyne Gurkah.
It weighs 13,000 pounds, has 660 lb.-ft. of torque and is fully bulletproof. Shoot should be ready sometime late next week.

why do you have a boss

You can hide in there if he comes after you with a gun.

What you are doing here is pretending you are Top Gear.

She, actually

Considering that you write for a canadian car website. I would think that there couldn’t be a better choice than the Gurkah.
Best most Canadian vehicle ever built.

To keep me from shooting 113 videos on the Fiat 124 Spider.
![]() 12/01/2015 at 14:00 |

Does that mean I have to punch my producer?

You can shoot it and then shoot it.

What’s next? A boat? (And by “boat” I mean an actual water craft, not 1970s American iron.)
![]() 12/01/2015 at 14:03 |

That depends. Are you hungry?

You should at some point try to review the new Fiata. Maybe a comparo between it and the old Spider back-to-back.

Being stereotypically Canadian all you have to do is just say sorry after, you should be fine.

Driving.ca will, rest assured, do a full video review on the new 124. I hope to buy my own 124 before then to compare it to.

Not allowed to do boats. : ( But I shot an amphicar a while ago..

You can if you want, but you may become unbusy.

Got curious, looked it up. Looks like it was built on either an F-450 or F-550 chassis. BEEFY.

So, you’re quite good at trolling your boss. Question though: What exactly is your job? I get your a photographer, but I guess my question is where do these pictures go? I assume she wants modern stuff for page views/sales?

Even worse.

I don't see a problem with this

I’m actually a videographer and writer for Driving.ca. Most of my stuff ends up right here: http://driving.ca/author/clayton…
But for the most part, Driving.ca is a consumer oriented site and we do a lot of coverage on cars people actually buy like CUV’s and small sedans. But of course, old and wierd vehicles interest me most so I try to shoot those whenever possible.

Close enough - still pushing the boundaries. :)

No, being a stereotypical Canadian, it’d start with a jersey getting pulled over someone’s head.

Nice! I had no idea you were writing for driving.ca.

You are absolutely my hero. Just so you know.
My boss once asked me to “manage my accounts better in order to get the best yield.” OK! I don’t usually have permission to do what I want with our vendors so I took this request to heart and ran with it. Not sure he expected that.
I dropped the unprofitable and added a few new ones, reducing our monthly cost and getting refunds from two separate vendors all within a day. I presented him with the itemized paperwork and his jaw literally dropped. His only words “That was quick.” I got a bonus that month.
So, I’m a huge fan of messing with your boss. Keep it up.

Least Canadian you mean? There’s nothing too polite about it, and it doesn’t look very apologetic either.

WHAT?????????? Terradyne is a Canadian company. It is the most recognized truly canadian road legal vehicle on the planet.

Thanks man! Always good when you can surprise the boss man in a good way.
![]() 12/01/2015 at 16:00 |

Yeah, I know that. It just sounded as though you were saying the Gurkha was the most Canadian vehicle, as in a personification of Canadian culture/values.

But what’s the point of shooting new cars? Did he explain that one?
![]() 12/01/2015 at 17:34 |

Yessir. Now, how about the Newport. Are you still selling it? I hate that. It’s a beautiful car. If I could, I’d buy it!
![]() 12/01/2015 at 21:39 |

Peggy the Newport is indeed for sale and I’ll personally deliver it anywhere in the continent. (I love roadtrips)

Link to sale page? Price? I need to be interested in things like the structure holding my house up but this sounds like so much more fun.
